Sentenced
This project explores the notion of freedom while photographing an artistic collaboration between a group or artists and criminals in a Polish prison. To brighten up the days of the criminals a group of artists created a series of photographs of the surroundings of the jail - the 'outside world'. A few criminals volunteeres to put up the printed real life scale photographs on the walls of the jail courtyard matching them up with the real surroundings behind the walls. The project documents the process while pointing to the stark contrasts between the 'inside' and 'outside' worlds.
